there's huge controversy in school and among close friends about The Mask. no darling, not the blasted show. it's about us. how we go by day in and day out. how do we position ourselves among others, with other.. or pherhaps, against others. i don't think there's any issue with why people do it. simply, i believe, it's just for PR-ing. to make ur personal life better and thus, "suceed" in this little rat-race. not a rat race in accomplishments in life, that's for sure. it's rather obvious that it's for popularity. yes, the "P" word. well, even if you suck, come from the ekkkk-iest school, you'll be fine as long as you have some amazing friends! ain't it true?
as much as i don't like this line, cos it's helplessly overused by ah-lians, it's utmost suitable now. I HATE FAKES. as for the gucci, prada, miu miu stuff, they can very well stay. all u other self-moving, noise making, smell-evolving things... move aside! it's different when u put a fake front and when you just dont open up to ppl. i'm refering to those asses who smile, laugh, joke with you all so chummily, and turn around to cuss at you. and then, continue to that to everyone, only to realise the "everyone" is on one side, cussing at YOU.
sadly, there's quite alot of these ppl in Design school. i 'spose it's inevitable in such environment. as much as i hate it, it's still gonna happen and get worse. i came to this institute 'cos i discovered what i truly what inside, to BE MYSELF. and what bloody culture do they have? ladies and gentlemen, kindly put on a lavishly decorated and heavily lacquered mask, thank you. it's compulsory. not abiding so would be against rule no. 3488. and will result in you suffering for your next few years while you're hear. repeat after me, "I WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO RIP OFF MY MASK."
why? why? whyyy?
[[ pammm ]]: girrly, i know what you mean. i guess it's 'protection'. to some extent, as much as i'd like to advise for you to just be who you really are, i doubt it's gonna be apprproiate/possible/easy. i believe you still can be whoever and whatever that's comfortable. it may not be entirely 'you', but it beats the stifling mask which would eventually choke you.
christy the great.
